They say it happens to best of us but for me the struggle is very real and personal. The time when barista handover your to-go coffee leaving the task of putting that lid to you. Or grabbing a cup of tasteless yet much needed drink from your office’s coffee machine and then spending eternity to seal it with that lid.
Many people in UX and other tech professions share concerns about limited career opportunities beyond a certain level. This often compels them to transition to a different field or take on responsibilities they don’t truly want. But is there a different way to look at this challenge?
Guess what’s the latest trend on LinkedIn? People left and right casually tossing around the term “leader”. The chances of stumbling upon the term “leader” showcased with pride are as high as one in every five profiles. It’s like a leadership pandemic out there! But what if, we let go ‘leader’ as a title and embrace ‘practicing leadership’ instead?
